BRKZ Raises $31M to Push AI Procurement Across Saudi Building Materials

BRKZ, a Saudi platform that sells building materials through an AI-enabled procurement system, has raised $31 million to fund its next stage of growth. The company announced the financing on Monday.

How the round breaks down

The package is split in two. A $13 million Series B equity round was co-led by Wa'ed Ventures, the venture capital arm of Aramco, and 500 Global. BECO Capital and Anb Seed Fund also took part.

The remaining $18 million comes from Stride Ventures as growth debt, drawn under a $30 million venture debt facility BRKZ had previously announced. Stride is already a financing partner of the company.

BRKZ said the money will cover working capital and allow it to offer customers more flexible payment terms. Some of it goes toward sharpening the AI that sets prices and handles fulfillment, and toward embedded financing products aimed at the contractors and suppliers on its network.

Vertical integration and cross-border supply

Alongside the software work, BRKZ intends to bring more of the supply chain in-house, from raw materials sourcing through to last-mile delivery. It also plans to widen cross-border sourcing and trading, building direct supply corridors with China, India and other major manufacturing markets.

The dataset behind the pricing engine

The company was founded in 2022 and sells local, imported and raw building materials to contractors, distributors and factories. Over the past three years it has assembled a proprietary dataset of roughly 38 million structured data points, spanning more than 13,000 product records and 2,100 supplier profiles.

BRKZ says that dataset lets it price accurately enough that 84% to 89% of its predictions land within 5% of the final transacted price. Pricing work that is normally manual, the company says, becomes near-instant — though procurement teams keep the final say.

AI agents already run parts of the day-to-day operation. Nusa, BRKZ's delivery agent, processes bulk-cement deliveries on its own, and about 75% of delivery notes move through without a human touching them. AI also assists on payment-term decisions, with approval still resting with the finance team.

Volume so far

Since launch, BRKZ has sold more than $133 million — SAR 500 million — in building materials across raw, local and imported categories. Requests for quotations processed through the platform exceed $1.37 billion, or SAR 5.13 billion.

Total equity and debt financing since inception now tops $70 million. That includes a strategic investment in April from SIC, the investment arm of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund. BRKZ has described that backing as support for digitizing procurement, strengthening local supply chains and advancing the industrial goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Its customers include contractors and businesses working on some of the kingdom's largest developments: The Red Sea Project, Diriyah, Qiddiya, ROSHN and King Salman Park.

Building materials procurement remains one of the least digitized links in Gulf construction, where quotes are still frequently gathered by phone and settled on paper. What BRKZ is testing is whether a large enough price dataset can make that market behave more like a listed commodity exchange — and whether lenders will fund the working capital that shift requires.
