Fawry has connected its Business POS terminals to DMS's business management software, an integration first reported by Zawya. The setup is aimed at medical institutions and other organizations that run their operations on DMS systems.

One entry, two systems

Under the arrangement, a transaction keyed into a DMS terminal is handed straight to Fawry's POS system. Staff no longer have to type the same transaction into two separate systems to keep them aligned.

Once a payment goes through, its status travels back into the DMS system on its own. Manual updating of that status is gone, and transaction data moves between the two platforms without staff intervention.

The result is fewer errors of the kind that appear when the same details are entered twice, and a shorter path to settling a transaction.

What the two companies say

Both sides framed the project as part of a broader effort to join payment processing with the software businesses already use day to day.

Bassem Lotfy, Head of Business Development at Fawry, described the integration as a step toward connecting payments with business management systems. He said it supports process automation and reduces manual work.

Roaa Mamdouh, Strategic Alliances Director at DMS Egypt, said the partnership gives businesses and hospitals practical tools for more accurate and efficient daily operations.

Payment terminals and back-office software have typically been treated as separate layers, with staff acting as the bridge between them. That bridge is where delays and typos accumulate, particularly in settings such as hospitals, where a bill and a record need to match and the people posting entries are usually clinicians or administrators rather than finance staff. Wiring the two layers together removes a routine task and, with it, a recurring source of reconciliation work. For Fawry, the arrangement also ties its terminals more tightly to the software its commercial customers already run, which matters in a market where healthcare providers and other institutions are digitizing their billing and records at different speeds.
